Congratulation!
Guess who's ready to drive! Chris is taking Driver's Ed this semester. He has taken his test and we went to get his restrict license on Thursday. Now we all know what the next step is in his mind, "Can I have a car for Christmas?". Well, when I got my first car things were a lot cheaper then, but with the way the car market is today, who knows. If he get a car it will be a gas saver, something we can drive to school and work. But most of all it depends on his grades.
Boo Bargain Yard Sale
We are planning our second yard sale. This time it will fun fill not only for the adults, but for the kids too. We want to include the community, so if you have item you want to sale, please request a form by contacting our coach at the Mahan Branch (Lavelle or Kelly). We want to make this an event to remember, so come on out and enjoy the fun. Each participant must provide their own tent, tables and chairs and we will provide the space. Each space will be 10X10 and will cost $25.00.
We are hoping to have a lot of treats for the trickers.

Homeis is in the Heart
Home is where the heart is and we just heard on the new this morning that the First Time Home Buyers Credit could possibly be extended until 2010. We are praying for the extension to pass so we will have some additional time to work on saving more money. The more we save, the more we can put on our down payment. We are getting closer to getting our dream home. We are heading home for a life time.
None Stop Work
We wish we could have attended the FSU game on Saturday, but we had to work. The rain has caused me to work weekends so I would not get behind at work. But, that's what it takes sometimes in order to make sure the bills are paid. We'll I know soon my hours will be cut because it will be cold, but no matter what I still have to make sure my bills are paid, so I make sacrifices to get it done. Oh well, let me get some sleep for work,
Rattler Strike
We’ve been looking for an outlet after working so hard, now we have it. We are FAMU Rattler fans and we were able to enjoy the first FAMU game this weekend. To save money we purchased season tickets for four. Best of all we won the game 21 to 12. Go Rattlers!!
Old Habits
Some things can't be taught, they are learned behaviors. If your not in the habit of spending un-necessary money, don't start. Start saving when you young and don't have alot of responsibilites that way when you get a family you'll have something to fall back on. One of the most important things to do is teach your children to save.

Back To SchoolWe’re gearing up for another school year. Christopher is not ready to start school, but he knows the time is here. So we will have to start getting up earlier to make sure he’s on time for school. Mitchell has decided to put his education on hold for now, because, he can’t afford to take the time off from his job. Not only is the time off from work a problem, but we’ve considered the cost for him to go back to school and right now we can’t afford it. I would advise anyone with kids to put them in a college fund at an early age, because college expenses are only getting higher. Good luck to all those returning to school.~The Canty’s~
Ride With the Wind
Guess who got a free road trip! Angela went to Orlando for two days to The Holy Land. She had a wonderful time. It was a great experience; if you have the time I would suggest you take your entire family. Mitch and Chris also had a free weekend without me, so they spent time together doing guys stuff. While I was away Mitchell won tickets for 2 to Café Cabernet from 96.1 Jamz. So when I got back we went to Café Cabernet for dinner and live jazz. Chris won $50.00 when we attended the FSU Fan Day. We want to say thanks to the Women’s Ministry of Saint James A.M.E. Church in Quincy, Joe Bullard - 96.1 and the sponsors of FSU Fan Day.
Free Weekend
Most of our summer weekends have been filled with work, work and more work. But this past weekend was nothing but fun, fun and more fun. Everything we did this weekend was FREE. We spend Saturday at the webisode viewing and fun day at church. Sunday we spent the day at the Civic Center – FSU Fan Day getting autographs from the players. We need more free fun weekends. Any ideas out there let us know, FREE, FREE and did we mention FREE!
Believe It or Not, It's Real!
In our attempt to pay some bills in collection, they would not accept our money order from the FCCU. Now mind you they did accept the first money order we sent them. But, almost a month has past and we're just finding out on Friday our money order has been mailed back to us. So now, we have to play the wait and see game. Paying the collection agencies is a joke. The harder we try to pay them, the more crap they come up with. So hopefully the money order will come back some time this week and we'll get another money order issued and mail to them asap. Believe it or not, it's real hard trying to work with these companies, so if you've never experienced it, you don't want too. Pay your bills or they will come back to hunt you.
